Juventus Transfer Market: A Drastic Solution Is on the Horizon for the Backup Striker

Milik’s situation, however, appears in stark contrast to what seemed to be taking shape in recent weeks. In early August, *La Gazzetta dello Sport* reported that the Polish striker had finally regained his form, training consistently under Spalletti and taking the field in summer friendlies against Nice and Chelsea. This resurgence had convinced many that the 1994-born player could be an unexpected asset at no cost for the Old Lady, given that his contract is set to expire in June 2027.
Further complicating Juventus’s attacking plans was the injury to Kenan Yildiz, who was forced to undergo surgery on his left foot after a foul he suffered in the match against Frosinone. The Turkish talent will miss about three months of the season, depriving Spalletti of his most key player up front. This setback has inevitably accelerated the search for reinforcements, with Atlético Madrid’s Alexander Sørloth emerging as the main target, even though the Colchoneros are pushing for a permanent transfer.
On the outgoing front, in addition to Milik, Jonathan David’s future also remains uncertain; he is reported to have received offers from England and France while continuing to wait for a call from a major European club. The situation is different for Francisco Conceição: Chelsea had tested the waters regarding the Portuguese player as a possible replacement for Pedro Neto, but Spalletti vetoed the transfer, considering him an indispensable part of his tactical setup.
