Torino and Fiorentina are stepping up talks to put together a major deal in these final days of the transfer window: Alieu Njie could soon be wearing the Viola jersey. According to Sky, to speed up the deal, Fiorentina has proposed including a player in exchange for the Swedish forward.

Rolando Mandragora’s name has been put on the table: the midfielder is a player Torino has been tracking for some time, and he could help the negotiations take off in the coming hours. Fiorentina wants to speed things up because the number of suitors for the young Swede is growing: in addition to several Premier League clubs, Salzburg has also inquired about him.

Including Mandragora in the deal could convince Torino: the two clubs are currently in talks to reach an agreement on the valuations of the two players to determine whether the deal is feasible. The Swedish forward, born in 2005, has been the subject of considerable interest throughout the summer: as early as June, an official offer had arrived from Anderlecht, which was rejected, as was the one from Crystal Palace.

Mandragora is a name that has been making waves in the transfer market for several teams in recent weeks. The midfielder, valued by Fiorentina at around 10 million euros, has also caught the eye of Daniele De Rossi’s Genoa, who holds him in particularly high regard and has been pressing his club’s management to bring him to Liguria. A move to Turin would mark a return for Mandragora: he wore the Granata jersey during the 2021–2022 season.
