Bournemouth and Everton take the field at 4 p.m. for their match on Matchday 2 of the 2026–2027 Premier League season. The Cherries suffered an undeserved loss in their season opener, when they were come-from-behind by Manchester City—last season’s runners-up—at the Etihad Stadium. The Liverpool-based team, on the other hand, is coming off a strong home win against Crystal Palace.

The home team will feature Evanilson as the focal point of the attack, with Rayan, Kluivert, and Tavernier creating chances behind him. In midfield, Rose is relying on Cook and Scott, while Smith and Truffert will be the two fullbacks.

The visitors will start with Barry as the center forward, Ndiaye, Dewsbury-Hall, and George in the attacking midfield, and Hackney and Armstrong in the center of midfield. The two fullbacks will be Rohl and Mykolenko.

Bournemouth vs. Everton: Probable Lineups
Bournemouth (4-2-3-1): Petrovic; Smith, Hill, Silva, Truffert; Cook, Scott; Rayan, Kluivert, Tavernier; Evanilson. Head Coach: Rose.
Everton (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Rohl, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Hackney, Armstrong; Ndiaye, Dewsbury-Hall, George; Barry. Head Coach: Moyes.

Rose made no secret of his regrets after the loss to City: “It’s really disappointing. In the end, we needed to close out the game. We had a lot of good moments, we struggled, we found ways to win the ball back, and we had chances. Unfortunately, two plays cost us. That’s how it went. I saw some great effort, and the fundamentals were all there. Now we need to work on the details to win these kinds of games.”
