Atalanta Transfer Market: Another Gift for Sarri—Straight from Juventus

Atalanta is unstoppable. After announcing the signing of Kessié—effectively snatched from Juventus—the Bergamo-based club is about to give its coach, Sarri, another gift.
Negotiations for defender Cabal—ironically, with Juventus again—now appear to be down to the final details. The Colombian defender is no longer part of Juventus’ plans and is looking for a new home, preferably still in the Italian league. Atalanta could be the right club for him to try to relaunch his career.
Following the signings of Gaetano, Kristensen, Elmas, and Kessié, another major signing is on the way for Atalanta, which—after also securing a spot in the Conference League group stage—wants a deep, high-quality roster that allows Sarri to field his best possible lineup in every competition.
Born in 2001, Cabal made his Serie A debut in 2022 with Hellas Verona. After two solid seasons with the Verona-based club, he was signed by Juventus, where he made 28 appearances and scored two goals over two seasons. He is best remembered for the red card he received in the Champions League playoff match against Galatasaray, which contributed to the Bianconeri’s elimination. That match was the last time Cabal was fielded by Juventus coach Spalletti.
