Monza Transfer Market: Defender Ziolkowski Officially Signed—The Terms of the Deal

Monza pulls off a major transfer coup by signing center back Ziolkowski. Born in 2005, he arrives directly from Roma on a one-year loan with an option to buy in favor of the red-and-white club.

Here is the official statement from the red-and-white club: “Jan Ziolkowski is a new player for Monza. The Polish defender arrives from Roma on a temporary basis through June 30, 2027, with an option to buy in favor of the red-and-white club.

Born in Warsaw on June 5, 2005, he came up through the youth ranks at Polonia Warsaw. In 2022, he joined Legia Warsaw, making his professional debut with the club during the 2023–24 season and recording three appearances in the Polish league. In the 2024–25 season, he also made his European debut, playing in six Conference League matches and finishing the season with 19 league appearances.

In the summer of 2025, he was signed by Roma, making his Serie A debut on September 28 against Hellas Verona. In his first season in Italy, he took the field 18 times in league play and also made his debut in the Europa League, where he made four appearances.
