Milan Transfer Market: The Plan for the Star Left Out by Real Madrid

Milan is ready to make another push in January for a target that slipped away in the final days of the transfer window: Endrick. It’s no secret that Ruben Amorim asked, after signing Gonçalo Ramos, for another key forward to join the team: In the end, the Portuguese coach decided to start the season with the Ramos-Camarda striker duo, but changes in the attacking lineup are possible in January if things don’t go well in these first few months.

The Rossoneri had long courted the Brazilian forward, so much so that owner Gerry Cardinale himself had discussed the matter with Real Madrid’s management: the deal was ultimately blocked by Real Madrid coach José Mourinho, who preferred to keep the Brazilian international on the roster.

Everything could change in the coming months. Endrick is currently sidelined due to injury, but even upon his return to the field, he would face stellar and ruthless competition that would leave him with very little playing time. The Rossoneri are waiting, ready to make their move: their plan is to request the player on loan in January with an option to buy. Unlike Camarda, Endrick can also play as an attacking midfielder, and Amorim considers him a very valuable addition—the move is set to happen.

Roma is also a strong contender for the Brazilian: according to reports from the Giallorossi camp, Endrick has already expressed a preference for the capital, drawn in part by the chance to reunite with his compatriot Wesley. Sporting director D’Amico considers the 20-year-old one of the top priorities for the winter transfer window, and the interest appears to be mutual. This direct competition, therefore, could complicate negotiations for the Rossoneri.
