2026-2027 Serie B: Palermo vs. Sampdoria, Probable Lineups

Palermo has had an excellent start to the season, defeating Juve Stabia in their opener and then picking up three points against Arezzo as well. Pippo Inzaghi’s men, galvanized by their Coppa Italia triumph over Mantova, will face Sampdoria on Monday evening at 8:30 p.m.

For the Rosanero, Strefezza is expected to return to the starting lineup in the front three alongside Hernani—who edged out Palumbo for the spot—and Johnsen, supporting Pohjanpalo. Mattia Perin will be in goal, with a back four featuring Pierozzi and Augello on the flanks, and Bani and Ceccaroni in the center. Segre and Ranocchia will anchor the midfield.

Bernardo Corradi will need to pull off a miracle to get past a Palermo side in top form: the Blucerchiati sit in 15th place and have managed just one point in their first two league games. Vindahl is confirmed in goal despite criticism; in defense, new signing Delli Carri will partner with Gartenmann. Di Pardo and Cicconi will play on the flanks. Makoumbou will take Esposito’s place in midfield alongside Henderson, while Verschaeren gets a chance in the attacking trio alongside Begic and Sinani. Tutino, who scored in the last match against Juve Stabia, will lead the attack.
