A star-studded Champions League debut for Massimiliano Allegri’s Napoli, who will face English champions Arsenal at Maradona Stadium at 9 p.m. The Azzurri are looking to bounce back after their last two league losses, but they’ll have to face one of Europe’s strongest teams: the Gunners have gotten off to a strong start this season, thrashing Manchester City in the Super Cup and winning their first three Premier League matches while conceding just one goal.

Allegri is expected to start Alisson, Santon, and Politano as wingers alongside the undisputed starter Hojlund. In midfield, De Bruyne returns to the starting lineup alongside Lobotka and Gilmour; Anguissa is unavailable, and Neres will start on the bench, as will Vergara.

Arteta is without Saliba; Konsa will play in the center of the defense alongside Gabriel, with Calafiori and White on the flanks. In midfield, Zubimendi partners with Rice, while Saka, Odegaard, and Tzolis will support lone striker Haaverts.

Napoli vs. Arsenal, probable lineups
NAPOLI (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Rafa Marin, Olivera; Gilmour, Lobotka, De Bruyne; Politano, Hojlund, Alisson Santos. Coach: Allegri
ARSENAL (4-2-3-1): Raya; White, Konsa, Gabriel, Calafiori; Rice, Zubimendi; Saka, Odegaard, Tzolis; Havertz. Head Coach: Arteta

“A different competition is beginning; we need to get 12 points—it’s a mini-league,” said Allegri at the press conference. “We know we’re facing a very strong team. Arteta has done extraordinary things. Let’s take them on with pride and determination. Saturday’s game was a great one; unfortunately, we lost it. That’s just how soccer is. European competition brings even more adrenaline. As you know, McTominay won’t be available for the match, nor will Anguissa, who had an adductor issue this morning. Neres is a question mark; if his knee doesn’t bother him, he’ll be available.”
