Big news regarding Jannik Sinner’s treatment: Will his recovery time be shorter?

Jannik Sinner is still dealing with the knee injury that forced him to miss the U.S. Open as well. While Alexander Zverev is set to face Karen Chačanov in the semifinals of the U.S. tournament with the prospect of challenging the South Tyrolean for the top spot in the ATP rankings, Sinner continues his treatment at J Medical.

According to Corriere della Sera, there’s a major development in the San Candido star’s recovery plan: the champion is undergoing argon laser therapy, with the equipment having been sent to Turin by the Italian Tennis Federation specifically for him. Unlike traditional laser therapy, the treatment using the noble gas argon could significantly speed up the body’s natural healing processes.

Consequently, confidence is growing that Jannik Sinner will be back on the court at the ATP tournament in Beijing, scheduled to begin on September 30. The South Tyrolean will have to defend the title he won last year, after which he can focus on the Shanghai Masters 1000 (scheduled for October 7–18) and the Six Kings Slam exhibition in Riyadh in late October.
