This decision inevitably sparked debate, and Marquez himself sought to clarify the matter during the press conference. The Spaniard explained that he publicly revealed the condition of his arm to put an end to the many rumors circulating about his physical condition.

““I decided to post the photo and show the true condition of my arm to put an end to the speculation and theories I’ve read about it,” explained the Ducati rider. “The best way to put an end to the rumors is to tell the truth, and after Aragon, I decided to do so as directly and clearly as possible.”
