Three matches from the fourth round of Serie B were played on Friday evening: Virtus Entella’s resounding 4-1 victory in Pisa stood out. It was a disastrous first half for the Tuscan side: the Chiavari team scored through Guiu, Cuppone, and Franzoni, while the Nerazzurri were reduced to 10 men in the 35th minute after Leris was sent off with a straight red card. In the second half, Pisa pulled one back with a goal by Correia before Tirelli sealed the win with the fourth goal.

In the standings, Entella secured its first win and climbed to 4 points, while Pisa remains at 6.

Arezzo pulled off a major upset in Empoli: the Amaranto won the Tuscan derby 1-0 thanks to an own goal by Romagnoli in the 74th minute. Curto had been sent off in the first half, leaving the Azzurri down to 10 men for the entire second half. Following this win, Arezzo moves up to 6 points, tying Empoli.

The only home victory of the evening came from Benevento, which defeated Baroni’s Verona 3-1 at home. In the first half, the Stregoni and Hellas traded goals with Pierozzi and Sarr; in the second half, the hosts pulled away with goals from Okereke and Lamesta. The Giallorossi secured their first league win and now have 4 points, just like Verona, who suffered their second loss in four games.
