Jannik Sinner: Fans Cheer Over His Latest Videos

Jannik Sinner at work in Monte Carlo. The world No. 1 Italian tennis player trained with some young players from the Piatti Tennis Center at the Monte-Carlo Country Club. Videos posted on social media have thrilled fans: the South Tyrolean champion appears to have fully recovered from his knee injury and is training at a good intensity. The goal is to be 100% ready for the Beijing tournament, where he will defend the title he won last season.
His world No. 1 ranking is at risk following his long hiatus and Alexander Zverev’s victory at the US Open, and Sinner will have several points to defend between now and the end of the year.
The Italian will also compete in the Vienna tournament, scheduled to begin on October 24: “The world No. 1 will seek to repeat last year’s triumph at the Wiener Stadthalle and secure a ‘hat trick’ in his last three appearances in Vienna,” reads the organizers’ press release, referring to his victories in 2023 and 2025. The Italian tops a world-class field that includes numerous players ranked in the top 10 and top 20.”
Since early August, the South Tyrolean has been undergoing rehabilitation at J-Medical in Turin for extra-articular tendinopathy in his right knee, which forced him to miss the Cincinnati Masters 1000 and the U.S. Open. The rehabilitation program was divided into specific phases: first, managing the inflammation; then, strengthening and stabilizing the joint; and finally, a series of on-court tests to assess the knee’s movements and reactions. The results were encouraging, allowing him to travel to Monaco to resume technical training with coach Simone Vagnozzi.
