David Moss is back with A2A

A2A Leonessa Brescia has announced the addition of David Moss to the first team’s coaching staff, where he will serve as assistant coach. This marks a welcome return for the American, who has deep ties to the city of Brescia, forged by the many years he spent there—first as a player and then as a coach for the local team.
““When the club offered me the chance to have David on the staff, I gladly accepted this opportunity,” said Marco Calvani, head coach of A2A Leonessa Brescia. “I had a very frank discussion with him; I needed to understand what his expectations were regarding the possibility of becoming an assistant on the staff. David made it clear to me that his past as a player is something that no longer concerns him; he has the desire and ambition to embark on this journey—so much so that a few days ago he attended the course he was scheduled to take, and next weekend he’ll take the exams to be accepted into the next level of the program.”
“All of this convinced me that we’re not just bringing a former player onto the staff, but a coach and someone who’s fully committed to embarking on this journey,” concludes Calvani. “That’s why I’m extremely pleased, because David will enrich our staff, and given his background and what he’s accomplished over the years as a player development coach, he’ll provide valuable assistance and contribute significantly to achieving our seasonal goals.”
Born in Chicago on September 9, 1983, David Moss is a graduate of Indiana State University. He has been in Europe since 2006, when he began his professional career with the Polish team Polpak Swiecie. In Italy since 2007, he has played for Jesi, Teramo, Siena, Virtus Bologna, and Olimpia Milano.
In March 2016, he arrived in Brescia, where he began a long journey that would see him become a key player and, later, captain of the team, during the period spanning the club’s promotion to Serie A (2016) and its victory in the Coppa Italia in February 2023.
