The soccer world mourns: Farewell to Riccardo Innocenti, former captain of Perugia

Riccardo Innocenti has died at the age of 83. Throughout his long career, he played for Sondrio, Lecco, SPAL, Milan, and Perugia.

He played for the Grifone for five seasons, from 1969 to 1974, making 175 appearances and scoring 27 goals. A forward by trade, he was part of the Milan squad that won the 1966–67 Coppa Italia.

In his only season with the Diavolo, the 1966–67 season, he made a total of 14 appearances, scoring one goal against Lanerossi Vicenza.

Riccardo played five seasons for Perugia, from 1969 to 1974, serving as captain for much of that time and ending his career with the Biancorossi. Wearing the Grifo jersey, he played 175 games and scored 27 goals. The club remembers Riccardo Innocenti, a true Grifone!”
