2026–2027 Nations League: Serbia vs. Greece, Probable Lineups

Serbia vs. Greece is a match on the first matchday of Group 2 in League A of the 2026–2027 Nations League. Also in their group are Germany and the Netherlands, the favorites to advance. Neither the Serbs nor the Greeks have qualified for the 2026 World Cup in North America.

Birmanović is Serbia’s center forward, with Zukic, Aleksandar Stanković, and Maksimović lining up in the attacking midfield. In midfield, Petrovic partners with Dragojevic.

Masouras is Greece’s striker, while Tzolis, Pelkas, and Bakasetas are tasked with creating plays in the attacking third. Zafeiris and Kourbelis anchor the midfield.

Greek head coach Ivan Jovanovic is eager to gauge the level of his young squad: “We’ll see how far we can go as a national team.”  The Serbian coach tried to explain what it feels like to play against his home country’s national team: “Serbia is my country; I try to strike a balance between emotion and professionalism. I’ve come here for matches against Partizan and Red Star, but the national team is a whole different story. However, I’m a professional coach who wants the best for his team. We want to get a result in every game and beat all our opponents.”
