Turin Transfer Market: Sudden Setback in Renewal Talks for Star Player Whose Contract Is Expiring

Torino is working to resolve some thorny issues regarding the contract renewals of several players: among the names on technical director Petrachi’s agenda is the extension of Che Adams’ contract.

The Scottish forward, who had been put up for sale by the Piedmontese club this past summer, has proven to be a crucial player for Ignazio Abate’s team in the first half of the season, and now the club is working to ensure it doesn’t lose him on a free transfer next June, when the British player’s contract expires.

At the moment, Torino’s only victory bears his name: the Granata executives are putting pressure on his agents, but Adams is stalling. According to La Stampa, his desire is to return to play in the Premier League. The player has reportedly received several offers from clubs across the Channel, and a move during the winter transfer window cannot be ruled out if an agreement cannot be reached with Torino regarding a contract extension.

Adams has scored two goals in three league games this season, while last year he scored eight goals in 36 games across all competitions for Torino. With Torino since 2024, Adams has also played for Sheffield United, Birmingham City, and Southampton during his career. He has made 50 appearances for Scotland.
