A brief adventure—certainly shorter than expected. Victor Ibarbo bids farewell to Pontedera and the Pontedera team less than a month after his highly publicized arrival in Tuscany. The former Cagliari forward leaves Serie D after just three appearances in Group D, all as a substitute. His time with the Granata ends with a total of 159 minutes played and no goals scored.

Meanwhile, in the final days of the transfer window, a veritable revolution took place in Pontedera. New director Giovannini has, in fact, overhauled a large part of the roster, completing eight signings and six departures in the space of just a few hours.

Among the players who have left the club is Ibarbo himself. The Colombian center forward will continue his career at ASD Calcio San Cataldo di Bella, a team competing in the Eccellenza Basilicata league, where he is transferring on a permanent basis.

Pontedera bid farewell to the forward with a message posted on its social media channels. “The club thanks Victor for the commitment, professionalism, and dedication he demonstrated during his time in the maroon jersey.”
