Bosnia and Sweden will face off at 8:45 p.m. on Friday in a match for Matchday 3 of Group 4 in League B of the 2026–2027 Nations League. The hosts are in second place in the group with 4 points following a draw with Poland and an impressive away win in Romania; the Scandinavians lead the group thanks to two wins over Romania and Poland, both secured in front of their home fans.

The Balkan team led by Sergej Barbarez has lost only twice in its last fourteen matches and is clearly on the rise: Tabakovic is expected to start up front, with Bajraktarevic, Mahmic, and Alajbegovic behind him. In midfield are Basic and Gigovic, with Memic and Kolasinac on the wings.

Graham Potter hopes to continue the winning streak that began with the two home games, but he must contend with several absences, including Holm, Isak, Ekdal, Ayari, and Stroud. He can count on Gyokeres up front, and Nygren is expected to play alongside him. Walemark and Nanasi will play on the wings, while Bergvall and Larsson will be the two midfielders.

Bosnia vs. Sweden: Probable Lineups
Bosnia and Herzegovina (4-2-3-1): Zlomislic; Memic, Katic, Muharemovic, Kolasinac; Basic, Gigovic; Bajraktarevic, Mahmic, Alajbegovic; Tabakovic.
Sweden (4-4-2): Johansson; Svensson, Lindelof, Starfelt, Gudmundsson; Walemark, Bergvall, Larsson, Nanasi; Nygren, Gyokeres.

At a press conference, Potter discussed the absence of one of the key midfielders, Ayari, and who might replace him: “We have Hugo Larsson and Jesper Karlström, who performed very well during training camp. Both are excellent options. Jesper was fantastic against Ukraine and Poland in the World Cup playoffs, and he started for us at the World Cup. They’re both good players.”
