England routed Croatia with a stunning 7-0 victory and secured its second consecutive win in Group 3 of the UEFA Nations League A, moving up to 6 points. It was a match dominated from start to finish by Thomas Tuchel’s team, which put Modric and his teammates in serious trouble and sealed the deal as early as the first half.

Once again, it was Harry Kane who broke the deadlock. The Bayern Munich striker received a pass from Bellingham and, in the 8th minute, beat Livakovic to make it 1-0. England continued to attack and doubled their lead in the 21st minute: Gordon, who made a great first touch on the volley, set up Bellingham, who beat the Croatian goalkeeper with a stretching finish.

Gordon’s standout performance continued in the 39th minute. The former Newcastle winger, after setting up the second goal, also scored himself with a header off a cross from Quansah. Croatia tried to respond but left huge gaps and was punished yet again on the counterattack. Bellingham received the ball from Gordon once more, played it across the box, and found Saka completely unmarked: it was child’s play for the Arsenal forward to make it 4-0. The teams went into halftime with the match already virtually over.

Bilic tried to shake things up by bringing in three new players at the start of the second half, but the story remained the same. In the 53rd minute, Kane scored his second goal, sliding in to deflect Anderson’s assist into the net and setting another record: no one in history had ever scored five goals against Croatia on the road.

England, however, didn’t stop there. In the 68th minute, Saka also scored his second goal, capitalizing on a mistake by Stanisic to make it 6-0. Tuchel’s team continued to play with great intensity, and in the 87th minute, the seventh goal came. Rogers was sent through on a breakaway, rounded Livakovic, and slotted the ball into the now-empty net.

The match ended 7-0, with England securing a resounding victory and climbing to 6 points in the group. For Croatia, however, it was a night to forget and a historic defeat, which came in a stadium played behind closed doors, where only 5,000 children had been allowed entry.
