Spain shows no signs of slowing down, defeating the Czech Republic as well. In Oviedo, Luis de la Fuente’s team won 3-1, securing their third consecutive victory in the Nations League and responding to England’s resounding 7-0 victory over Croatia in Rijeka. Once again, Lamine Yamal proved decisive.

It took the Barcelona talent just six minutes to make his mark. Set up by Dani Olmo, Yamal found himself at the edge of the box and, with his left foot, curled a perfect shot just under the crossbar. It was his fourth goal in his last three matches with the national team.

Spain continued to dominate and doubled their lead in the 35th minute. Rodri played the ball to Olmo, who crossed it into the box. The Czech defense managed to clear it, but the ball fell back to the Spanish midfielder, who made no mistake and made it 2-0. In the second half, De La Fuente also brought on Yeremy Pino and Muñoz, but La Roja’s concentration wavered for a few minutes, and the Czech Republic took advantage. In the 69th minute, Slama got the Czech Republic back in the game with a low left-footed shot directed to the far post, following an assist from Hlozek.

Spain, however, quickly regained control of the match and also benefited from Krejci’s ejection, which left the Czech Republic a man down. In the 89th minute, the decisive 3-1 goal came: Muñoz shot toward the goal, Kinsky made the save, but Mikel Merino pounced on the rebound, slotting the ball into the net to seal the victory.
