2026-2027 Nations League: Romania vs. Sweden, Probable Lineups

Romania and Sweden take the field at 8:45 p.m. for their match on Matchday 4 of Group 4 in League B of the 2026–2027 Nations League. The hosts are in a critical situation, having lost all three of their matches, and cannot afford to slip up in front of their home crowd if they want to retain any chance of avoiding relegation. The Scandinavians, on the other hand, lead their group with 7 points: a win would virtually guarantee them first place in the group. In the first leg, Sweden won 2-1 at home.
Hagi is going all out with Man and Birligea up front. In midfield are Marin, Olaru, Stanciu, and Baluta; the two fullbacks are Ratiu and Eissat.
Potter is still without Isak up front, but he can count on Gyokeres, who could play alongside Zeneli. Bernhardsson and Nanasi are on the wings, with Larsson and Karlstrom in midfield.
Romania vs. Sweden: Probable Lineups
Romania (4-4-2): Radu; Ratiu, Coubis, Burca, Eissat; Olaru, M. Marin, Baluta, Stanciu; Man, Birligea
Sweden (4-4-2): Johansson; Gudmundsson, Lindelof, E. Smith, Dahl; Bernhardsson, Larsson, Karlstrom, Nanasi; Gyokeres, Zeneli
Romania’s head coach Hagi was asked about his future with the national team following three straight losses: “I hope to stay as long as possible. We need to win; winning brings confidence and happiness. I hope that moment comes as soon as possible. When you don’t win, you expect criticism—that’s how it works in soccer. It’s been a difficult start for me, and I’m only at the beginning of this journey; I hope to turn things around. When you do what you love most, you have to do it with confidence—that’s what I say.”
