The mural dedicated to Franco Baresi is set to return to its spot in front of Casa Milan. Following the act of vandalism that damaged the artwork two Sundays ago, Luca Rosada—an artist known as Lucas Street Art—decided to take matters into his own hands and announced on social media that the mural would be restored on Saturday, October 10.

Rosada will create a new paste-up dedicated to the legendary Rossoneri captain to replace the original vandalized image. The artwork will differ from the previous one: it will be larger, composed of multiple sheets, and feature a smiling Baresi dressed in Rossonero colors.

A paste-up is a street art technique that involves printing an image on paper and applying it directly to a wall. For the new piece, Rosada will use recycled paper and has emphasized that the material will not damage the wall.

The event is scheduled for Saturday morning around 9:30 a.m. in front of Casa Milan. The project is expected to take about two hours. It’s a way to repair the damage done to the artwork and restore to the fans an image dedicated to one of the greatest icons in Rossoneri history.

When the previous mural was damaged, Rosada commented bitterly on the incident: “This defacement of the artwork breaks my heart—for having defaced the person, for having defaced the image, for having defaced Franco Baresi.”
