Filippo Baldi Rossi has a new team

Filippo Baldi Rossi is ready to start anew with UEB Cividale. The former captain of Tezenis Scaligera Verona—a key player in the team’s promotion to Serie A at the end of the 2025–26 season—is set to join the Friuli-based team. The 1991-born big man will bolster the frontcourt of the team coached by Stefano Pillastrini, bringing experience and skill to the squad.
This brings to a close the Modena-born player’s time in Verona, where he made a significant contribution to Scaligera’s run last season, even serving as team captain. In 34 regular-season games, Baldi Rossi averaged 8.3 points, 3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists. His future had already appeared uncertain over the summer. Despite his contract with Verona, the former Virtus Bologna big man no longer fit into the club’s coaching plans ahead of its return to Serie A and had not participated in the preseason training camp in Pinzolo.
Subsequently, Baldi Rossi joined the training sessions of Aquila Trento, the club with which he had secured promotion to the top flight in 2014, having played in Trentino from 2013 to 2018. During the summer transfer window, there had also been talk of a possible move to VL Pesaro, though that possibility never materialized. Now he has a new opportunity in Cividale, where he will be able to put his experience to work for a young and ambitious team.
Baldi Rossi’s arrival represents a significant boost for Gesteco, which needs to find more consistency after a difficult start to the season. In the first three rounds of Serie A2, Pillastrini’s team has managed just one win.
