The FUTS-ALL FVG Championship Kicks Off: Inclusive Soccer Takes Center Stage in Udine

The first day of the FUTS-ALL Friuli-Venezia Giulia Championship marked the kickoff of this experimental project dedicated to inclusive 5-a-side soccer, promoted by Sport Inclusion FVG APS in collaboration with the National Amateur League. The opening event took place on Saturday, October 17, at the G. Bearzi Gymnasium in Udine, attended by institutional and sports officials, including Ermes Canciani, President of the LND Friuli-Venezia Giulia Regional Committee; Mauro Bordin, President of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Regional Council; Alberto Andriola, President of Sportinclusion FVG APS; and Luca De Simoni, coordinator of the Social Responsibility Department of the National Amateur League.
The day’s competitive highlights featured three matches, with Zio Pino Zebrette Udine, Bazinga Trieste, and Dynamic Stellata Palmanova emerging victorious on the field. Adding further value to the event was the presence of the LND eSports Department with its experiential program “Il Calcio a Portata di Mano” (Soccer at Your Fingertips), an initiative aimed at raising awareness and promoting the possibilities of accessible and inclusive virtual soccer.
The championship will continue throughout the season until February 2027, when the highly anticipated final will be played. The next match is scheduled for Saturday, October 31, in Turriaco, where Pro Cervignano Ruda will face Isontino, Zio Pino Zebrette will face Bazinga, and Dynamic Fortezza will face Varmese.
“An extraordinary start to the FVG Futs-ALL championship,” said Alberto Andriola. A special thanks to all our partner clubs in this adventure, who have been dedicated for years to developing this inclusive, entertaining sport, and to the entire audience that filled the gym with their warmth for six hours. This launch sees Sportinclusion FVG, LND FVG, and the national LND working together with the vision of bringing Futs-ALL to every region of Italy.”
“FUTS-ALL is a concrete example of how soccer can be a tool for inclusion, creating the conditions for people with different abilities to share the same playing field,” stated De Simoni. “The launch of the league in Friuli-Venezia Giulia is a significant achievement, the result of collaboration among local organizations, and a model we intend to gradually expand to other regions as well.”
