Napoli and Roma take the field at 6 p.m. on Saturday for their Serie A Matchday 8 clash. Allegri’s team cannot afford to lose or they risk being knocked out of the race for the Champions League: the Neapolitans, who need to bounce back from their heavy defeat in Venice, are currently in tenth place, nine points behind the leader. Gasperini’s men, still undefeated since the start of the season, are coming off a win against Genoa and are looking to secure three points to put pressure on the two league leaders, Inter and Lazio.

Napoli will field a front three of Politano, Hojlund, and Lang, while in midfield, De Bruyne is expected to return to the playmaking role with Anguissa and McTominay flanking him. Lobotka is expected to start on the bench. In defense, Badiashile is expected to replace Rrahmani at center back, with Di Lorenzo and Olivera as fullbacks.

Gasperini will be without Pellegrini and Dybala; up front alongside Malen are Soulé and Cristante. In midfield, De Roon partners with Pisilli, with Lulli and Wesley on the wings. Mancini and Ndicka are expected to start in defense.
