The Powervolley Cup—Elena Gori Trophy—Was Unveiled at the Allianz Cloud

The Powervolley Cup—Elena Gori Trophy was presented at the Allianz Cloud in Milan, with the participation of the presidents and captains of the sixteen teams from CSI Milano and Monza Brianza. It was a day dedicated to volleyball, during which all participating teams had the opportunity to meet and learn more about the tournament. Each team was represented by its captain to officially kick off this entirely new and unique experience.

Lucio Fusaro, president of Allianz Milano, opened the presentation, followed by his vice president and president of CSI Milano, Massimo Achini: during their remarks, they outlined the activities that will involve the teams in the coming months, through February. It was also an opportunity to discuss the importance of sports and its role in bringing people together, forging bonds, and sharing a passion for volleyball.

One of the highlights of the day was the group draw, during which the matchups among the sixteen teams were determined. Landy Simon and Damiano Catania, players from Allianz Milano’s first team, also participated in the draw. The captains thus discovered which teams they will face during the tournament, which will take place right at the Allianz Cloud.

In addition, during the presentation Simon, Catania, and head coach Guillermo Falasca also spoke, answering questions and sharing their experiences in volleyball as well as some key moments from their careers.
