Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner: The Super Coach’s Prediction Is Here

Recently, due to injuries, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have had to give way to other champions, but these two stars will soon be back competing for dominance in world tennis and the top spot in the ATP rankings. Through his X profile, Rick Macci shared his prediction.
“Alcaraz and Sinner: two different styles, but the same ability to push beyond their limits. Both belong to that elite group reserved for very few and possess the cunning of a fox,” the super coach began.
“The best will be whoever proves it on that exact day, in that second, at that hour, with relentless power. Amid those incredibly fine margins and that magical moment, the champion will be crowned that day.”
During an interview with Tennis Channel, André Agassi shared his thoughts on the Alcaraz-Sinner rivalry: “It was fantastic to see Carlos back on the court after so long. And I hope Jannik Sinner is making the most of this time when he’s forced to sit out,” the former U.S. champion said.
“These two young players are essential to tennis. So let’s hope for even better results in 2027,” Agassi concluded. Sinner is in Monte Carlo, where he met with his coach Darren Cahill, dispelling rumors of a possible split at the end of the year.
All eyes are now on 2027: the Italian No. 1’s goal is the Australian Open in January—where he was eliminated in the semifinals this year by Novak Djokovic—and perhaps the Six Kings Slam in Riyadh, rescheduled for December 27–30, although his participation has not yet been confirmed and everything will depend on how his knee injury progresses.
