Virtus Wins at the Forum; Coach Mumbrù: “It Was a Tough Game, Even for the Referees”

Virtus Bologna coach Mumbrù commented on the overtime victory against Olimpia Milano at the Unipol Forum: “It was a tough game for both teams, and we knew that.”

““I’m proud of my team because we fought back after trailing by as many as 19 points. We kept doing what we do, believed in ourselves, and in the end, we won,” continued the Vu Nere coach. “We know that games like this come down to key moments—the final shot. It’s only the beginning of the season; we need to improve because there are still many games left to play.”

“It was a difficult game, even for the referees tonight, though I believe they made the right calls for both teams. I want to thank our fans who came here to Milan to support us.”.

Mumbrù is keeping his feet on the ground: “It’s just one more game; sometimes we win, sometimes we lose—the important thing is that the team gives 100%.” Virtus Bologna remains at the top of the Serie A standings with a perfect record.
