Jannik Sinner congratulates Andrea Kimi Antonelli after the Mercedes driver’s victory in the United States Grand Prix. The Italian tennis player, a huge Formula 1 fan, followed the race in Austin with great interest; it was won by the young Italian, who is getting closer and closer to winning the World Championship.

The world’s No. 1 tennis player wanted to dedicate a message to his friend on social media, posting an Instagram Story featuring a video of Antonelli’s celebrations after crossing the finish line. “Congratulations on another victory, Kimi,” Sinner wrote, adding “awesome,” along with a heart emoji and the Italian flag.

The victory in the United States allowed Antonelli to take another important step toward the world title. The Mercedes driver could have the chance to clinch the title as early as the next few races of the season, cementing his status as one of Formula 1’s top contenders.

Sinner, on the other hand, is forced to watch the races as a spectator after ending his season early due to a knee injury sustained after the Wimbledon final. However, his break from competition hasn’t stopped him from following his compatriot’s success and celebrating it publicly. The message confirms the mutual respect between the two Italian champions, who have previously shown support for one another on multiple occasions.
