Pierangelo Di Vittorio

A tragic traffic accident occurred in Brescia, where a 71-year-old cyclist lost his life after being struck by a car. The incident took place on Via Orzinuovi. The victim is Roberto Frassine, who had been living in Gussago for some time.

The emergency was reported immediately, and the 112 dispatch center dispatched an ambulance and a medical response vehicle. The 71-year-old’s condition appeared extremely critical from the start, and despite the efforts of medical personnel, all attempts to save his life proved futile.

According to initial reports, the car was not traveling at a particularly high speed at the time of the collision. However, the impact was severe enough to hurl the cyclist onto the hood of the car before he fell onto the asphalt.

Among those who witnessed the accident was a doctor, who was driving her own car. The woman stopped immediately, got out of her vehicle, and attempted to resuscitate the 71-year-old man, administering first aid while waiting for medical personnel to arrive. Unfortunately, her intervention and subsequent resuscitation efforts were not enough to prevent his death. Officers from the Brescia Local Police also responded to the scene of the accident, tasked with conducting the necessary investigations to clarify the circumstances of the incident and determine any liability.

The accident also caused significant traffic disruptions along Via Orzinuovi and the surrounding streets. Traffic was blocked to allow for rescue operations and the police investigation.
