Lazio soars to the top of the Serie A standings, while Frosinone continues to chase a spot near the top and returns to winning ways. Matchday 10 brought good news for both teams, which secured two important wins: the Biancocelesti came from behind to beat Cagliari 2-1 at the Olimpico and moved to 28 points, pulling three points clear of Inter, while the Giallazzurri defeated Torino 2-0 at the Stirpe, solidifying their sixth-place position with 20 points.

At the Olimpico, Lazio had to work hard to get the better of Cagliari. After an even start, the visitors opened the scoring in the 20th minute through Nzola, who capitalized on an assist from Fadera. Fadera, the architect of a fine run down the wing, managed to cross the ball despite falling, catching Belahyane off guard. A few minutes later, however, he was forced to leave the field due to injury. Lazio gradually took control of the game and equalized in the 36th minute: Noslin found Isaksen, who, with a marvelous left-footed shot, curled the ball unstoppably into the top corner.

In the second half, the home team increased the pressure and came close to taking the lead on two occasions through Taylor—first on a free kick and then with a right-footed shot from an excellent position. The winning goal, however, didn’t come until the 83rd minute: Pedraza crossed from the left and found Pinamonti, who sealed the 2-1 victory with a precise header. In the closing minutes, Cagliari were reduced to ten men after Obert was sent off for a nasty foul early in stoppage time. For Lazio, these are three crucial points, propelling them into sole possession of first place with 28 points. The Sardinians, on the other hand, suffered their second consecutive loss and remain stuck on 13 points, once again defeated at the Olimpico following their previous loss to the other Roman team.

Frosinone also has reason to smile, defeating Torino 2-0 at the Stirpe and returning to winning ways without conceding a goal. After a first half lacking in excitement—in which the Giallazzurri struggled to find space and the best chance came in the 7th minute from Aboukhlal—the match took a different turn in the second half. Meanwhile, in the 30th minute of the first half, Alvini had already had to deal with an ankle injury to Antonio Raimondo, who was replaced by Birligea.

Upon returning from the locker room, Frosinone displayed a decidedly more aggressive attitude and took the lead in the 48th minute: Ghedjemis, scoring his first league goal of the season, unleashed a left-footed shot from distance off an assist from Kvernadze and beat the Granata goalkeeper. Shortly afterward, the Algerian had a chance to double the lead with an open net, but Saul Coco saved his team with a timely intervention. Torino tried to hold on, but in the closing minutes, they had to concede again. Calò, who had already scored in the previous three matches, extended his scoring streak to four: after two attempts and hitting the post, the midfielder managed to beat Perri at the final whistle, sealing the victory once and for all.

The 2-0 victory allows Frosinone to climb to 20 points and consolidate sixth place, while Torino suffers its second consecutive loss. The Granata thus remain on 13 points, in tenth place.
