EICMA 2026, mind-boggling numbers: the curtain has risen on the biggest edition ever

The 83rd edition of EICMA—the International Motorcycle Exhibition—officially opened today in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation Matteo Salvini. The event will run through Sunday, November 8, at Fiera Milano Rho.
With 765 exhibitors, 2,142 brands from 52 countries, and a total of 300,000 square meters of exhibition space and outdoor areas, EICMA has reached a new milestone in its history, which began in 1914. For the first time since it has been held at the Rho exhibition center, the event occupies ten pavilions—one more than in 2025—reaching its maximum size at the Milan exhibition venue.
The opening ceremony was attended by Minister Salvini, along with Paolo Magri, CEO of EICMA S.p.A.; Pietro Meda, president of EICMA S.p.A.; Mariano Roman, president of Confindustria ANCMA; Giovanni Bozzetti, President of Fondazione Fiera Milano; Matteo Zoppas, President of ICE—the Agency for the Promotion Abroad and Internationalization of Italian Companies; Giuseppe Sala, Mayor of Milan; and Attilio Fontana, President of the Lombardy Region.
At the heart of the opening are the two B2B days today and tomorrow, Wednesday, November 4, dedicated to the press and industry professionals. Thousands of journalists and tens of thousands of professionals from around the world are expected in the exhibition halls for an event featuring presentations, international previews, business meetings, conferences, and opportunities for discussion. Manufacturers, suppliers, importers, and distributors are gathering in Milan to learn about new products, develop agreements, and expand their networks, while the media bring products and trends to the attention of a global audience.
“From 2021 to today, we have doubled the number of exhibition halls, from five to ten. This growth reflects companies’ decision to continue investing in EICMA and in the value of face-to-face interaction,” says Paolo Magri, CEO of EICMA. The two B2B days are at the heart of this event: here, companies’ efforts reach a global audience and translate into business contacts, communication opportunities, and access to new markets.”
The exhibition’s appeal is confirmed by the fact that 74% of the brands are from abroad and that 30% of the direct exhibitors are either first-time participants or returning companies. These figures highlight not only the event’s growth in scale but also the renewal of its offerings and a representative participation from the motorcycle industry and its related supply chain.
“An entire sector revolves around EICMA: companies prepare their new products, industry professionals travel the world to meet one another, and enthusiasts plan their visits,” says Pietro Meda, president of EICMA. This creates opportunities and jobs even beyond the exhibition halls, involving Milan and the Lombardy region. Our responsibility is to transform this attention into value for the entire supply chain, from major manufacturers to startups.”
From Thursday, November 5, through Sunday, November 8, EICMA will open its doors to the general public, who will be able to discover the latest models from manufacturers, technologies, and accessories, along with a program of races, shows, test rides, and special content. From the outdoor MotoLive arena to experiences focused on urban mobility, all the way to the history of racing with the exhibition dedicated to MotoGP, the lineup will guide visitors while keeping the product—and the connection between companies and enthusiasts—at the center.
“Always the first time. Every year, a discovery” is the message accompanying this edition, highlighting EICMA’s ability to mark a turning point for the motorcycle industry and the entire supply chain: expectations become tangible innovations, technologies are unveiled to the public, and next season’s trends take shape. An event that marks the industry’s calendar and renews, every year, the thrill of discovery.
