Bayer Leverkusen is set to host Marseille on Thursday evening at 9 p.m. at the BayArena for Matchday 4 of the Europa League group stage. The Germans head into the match with a perfect record, thanks to victories over Celje, Lech Poznan, and OFI Crete. The situation is quite different for the French side, which has lost all three matches played so far against Besiktas, Olympiacos, and Sturm Graz and is still searching for its first points in the competition.

Carles Martinez is expected to stick with the 4-2-3-1 formation, with Schick leading the attack. Behind him, Hofmann, Tillman, and Maza are expected to start, while in midfield, Andrich should be paired with Garcia. Quansah and Gutierrez will occupy the fullback positions for the “Aspirins.”

Bruno Genesio’s Marseille is expected to respond with the same formation, relying on Gouiri as the central striker. Weah, Abdelli, and Paixao are ready to support him in the attacking midfield, while former Inter Milan player Kondogbia and Hojbjerg are expected to feature in the center of the field. Harit will not be available, as he is being rested, while Cornelius and Emerson are out due to injury.
