Jannik Sinner won’t be taking the court at the upcoming ATP Finals, but he’ll still be in Turin for a special event. The world No. 2, forced to withdraw from the Masters tournament due to an injury to his right knee, will visit the Inalpi Arena on Saturday, November 14—the day before the competition begins—to unveil his new custom-designed racquet.

This marks a significant development in his partnership with Head, the Italian player’s long-standing equipment sponsor. Sinner will be the first and only player on the brand’s roster to have his signature on a racket intended for public sale. The chosen model is the Speed, the same one regularly used by the South Tyrolean champion, which for the occasion will bear his name, Jannik, and his distinctive logo: a stylized fox. This symbol has now become an integral part of the tennis player’s identity; it was registered with the patent office in 2021 and has already appeared on a Nike apparel line and on select Pigna paper products.

The commercial debut is scheduled for November 19, when a first limited edition will be available. Large-scale distribution, however, will not begin until January. The partnership between Sinner and Head is a long-standing one, dating back to when Jannik was still a child. His first contract came at age 10, after the brand had provided him with his first racquets. The relationship continued even when, at age 17, the Italian signed with Nike for apparel, while keeping Head as his go-to brand for technical equipment.

Sinner’s presence in Turin will therefore be primarily commercial and symbolic. The champion, winner of the last two editions of the ATP Finals, will not be able to defend his title from November 15 to 22, but he will still have an opportunity to meet the public and present a product bearing his signature.
