Milan visits Genoa for Matchday 11 of Serie A. On Sunday, November 8, at 3:00 p.m., the Rossoneri take the field at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium with the goal of extending their winning streak against the Rossoblù and securing important points for the standings. Rúben Amorim’s team is the favorite, but they’ll have to contend with an opponent that’s on the rise.

Daniele De Rossi’s Genoa, in fact, comes into the match on the heels of three consecutive league wins and is looking to extend its winning streak in front of its home crowd. The Ligurians have secured three wins in their first six home games of the season and are aiming for a fourth in their first seven—a feat they haven’t achieved since the 2015–16 season.

Milan, on the other hand, can rely on a particularly favorable recent record. The Rossoneri are unbeaten in their last ten Serie A matches against Genoa—with six wins and four draws—and have won all four of their most recent away games at the Ferraris against the Rossoblù.

De Rossi is expected to field a 3-5-2 formation. Bijlow will be in goal, protected by a defensive trio of Marcandalli, Ostigard, and Vasquez. In midfield, Ellertsson and El Shaarawy will play on the wings, with Baldanzi, Frendrup, and Traoré in central positions. Up front, the starting duo will be Colombo and Osmajic.

Milan is expected to respond with a 4-3-3 formation. Maignan will be the starting goalkeeper, while Gila, De Winter, Diawara, and Estupinan are expected to start in defense. In midfield, Musah, Modric, and Rabiot will feature, with the attacking trio of Moreira, Gonçalo Ramos, and Pulisic.

Probable lineups:

GENOA (3-5-2): Bijlow; Marcandalli, Ostigard, Vasquez; Ellertsson, Baldanzi, Frendrup, Traoré, El Shaarawy; Colombo, Osmajic. Head Coach: De Rossi.

MILAN (4-3-3): Maignan; Gila, De Winter, Diawara, Estupinan; Musah, Modric, Rabiot; Moreira, Gonçalo Ramos, Pulisic. Head Coach: Amorim.
