Mourning in Modena, Silvio Rivetti: "We will honor Nina every day"

A very serious bereavement has struck Modena Calcio: Nina, daughter of vice president Silvio Rivetti and granddaughter of president Carlo Rivetti, died at just 10 years of age. It was Silvio himself who, through, the club’s social channels, thanked everyone for the affection shown in the last few hours: “I thank you on behalf of my family for your affection and condolences.”

“The Canary environment, together with that of Calcio, has given us moments of lightheartedness, union, sharing and great passion. We will honor our special Nina every day of our lives, with heavy hearts but full of infinite love! With gratitude, Silvio.”

Nina’s passing was communicated by Modena Calcio on Sunday with a note posted on its official website: “With a broken heart we communicate the very serious mourning that has struck the Rivetti family and all of Modena FC in these hours. The little and beloved Nina, only 10 years old, daughter of Silvio, Modena FC vice president, and mom Eva, and sister of Sveva and Luce, has flown to heaven leaving an unbridgeable void in all those who loved her.”

“As a sign of mourning, all Modena FC public engagements scheduled for this week are canceled and the Modena Store will be closed on Tuesday, March 31.”
