Bosnia-Italy, Novak Djokovic also pops up against Azzurri

Novak Djokovic arrived in Sarajevo on Monday at 4:30 p.m., as reported by the Klix.ba portal, to cheer Bosnia. Not only that, other media, citing federal sources, report that tomorrow “Nole” will be at the stadium in Zenica to support the national team and his Bosnian friends. “Everyone here is crazy because the greatest tennis player of all time will be in the stands to help us out,” it reads.
After all, a few days ago Djokovic wrote to Edin Dzeko to congratulate him after the victory against Wales. He is therefore expected at the stadium in Zenica tonight. The facility is not among the most modern, but the atmosphere promises to be red-hot, as has been announced for days. And Djokovic, who has always been a soccer fan, does not seem to want to miss such an important match.
Also because a possible qualification of Bosnia to the World Cup, absent since its only participation in 2014, would represent for many “a historic moment for all the Balkans.” And Djokovic’s presence in the stands makes it all the more special.
On the eve of the national team’s most important match in recent years, Gennaro Gattuso and Gianluigi Donnarumma expressed confidence. “There is the awareness that on Tuesday against Bosnia we play a lot, we know it well, we play against a strong team, with quality players, strong physically and for this we need a great Italy,” Ringhio explained in the press conference.
“Who plays soccer lives for nights like these, there is no more beautiful thing. We are playing for a lot but we have to be good at putting in all the energy we have without thinking too much about anything else. We feel we have a great responsibility however we have to look the players in the eyes and transmit great confidence because we have a chance to achieve this goal. In the last seven months we have grown a lot even if we are perhaps less beautiful, but that’s okay,” continued Italy’s technical commissioner.
