Thursday’s presentation of the Frame Running international internship with Carlo Calcagni

On Thursday, April 2, at 11:30 a.m., in the press room of Palazzo Adorno in Lecce, “Sport Beyond All Limits – The Method Beyond All Barriers,” an international internship dedicated to Frame Running, will be presented. This is an adapted athletics discipline designed for people with severe motor disabilities, which allows them to run thanks to a three-wheeled vehicle equipped with a saddle and chest support, without pedals.
The event, sponsored by the Province of Lecce, will be held April 7-9 (from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) at the Coni School Field in the capital city. It is a technical and training project with an international scope, with the participation of the Comité Paralímpico Español, the involvement of Fispes, Coni and Ormesa, as well as the presence of specialized technicians and high-level athletes in the discipline.
The internship is proposed as an integrated model that combines Paralympic sports, rehabilitation and enhancement of the territory. The goal is to spread the culture of inclusion, encourage adapted sports practice and strengthen collaboration between institutions, schools and associations.
The conference will be attended by the president of the Province of Lecce Fabio Tarantino, the president of the Regional Paralympic Committee Cip Puglia Gianni Romito and the provincial delegate Coni Lecce Gigi Renis. Also present will be the project testimonial Carlo Calcagni, world champion and member of the National Paralympic team.
