Monte Carlo draw: treacherous path for Jannik Sinner. The opponents of all the Italians

The Monte Carlo Masters 1000 is at the starting line: the draw for the men’s draw of the Principality’s tournament was held on Friday. Title holder Carlos Alcaraz will make his second-round debut with the winner of the match between Argentina’s Sebastian Baez and Switzerland’s Stan Wawrinka, and on his way he could meet Lehecka, Bublik, and our own Lorenzo Musetti, the No. 4 seed (no Novak Djokovic).
Jannik Sinner will make his direct debut in the second round against the winner between the two Frenchmen Moïse Kouamé and Hugo Humbert, then in the round of 16 he could face a clay specialist, Stefanos Tsitsipas, a three-time winner in Monte Carlo, or another clay court player like Francisco Cerundolo. In the quarterfinals he could cross Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime or Norwegian Casper Ruud, while in the semifinals his opponent could be one between Russian Daniil Medvedev and German Alexander Zverev.
The other Italians: Lorenzo Musetti will debut in the second round against one between Valentin Vacherot and Kamil Majchrzak. Also on his side of the draw are Flavio Cobolli, who will debut against a qualifier, and Luciano Darderi, who will play against Poland’s Hurkacz.
Attending Azzurro Matteo Berrettini, who qualified thanks to a wild card, could face Daniil Medvedev and then Joao Fonseca on his way.
