Napoli defender Pasquale Mazzocchi spoke to Radio CRC ahead of the weekend against AC Milan: “There are only a few matches left now until the end of the season, it’s like a mini-championship. We will have to face the next matches with maximum strength and count on each other.”

“In matches like Napoli-Milan, beyond the technical-tactical aspect, we have to put a lot of enthusiasm: we face a great team and we have to have fun and give our best. In these days at Castel Volturno we have also worked a lot on the physical side. Obviously on the preparation of the match we have dedicated ourselves more in the last few days, because we have all met recently. A good challenge awaits us.”

“Conte today is using the fifths on the reverse foot, but our tasks in the end are always the same. Obviously, though, everything also depends on how the match goes and then the coach makes his choices.

“We are always available for the team both offensively and defensively. Third of defense? I am available to do everything. When I wear this jersey in my head it is as if I have no roles.”

Mazzocchi revealed a backstory on the return of the national team: “There is a lot of regret for the missed qualification. I also saw the guys who came back destroyed psychologically, as is right. I read President De Laurentiis’ statements and I bind myself to his line.”
