An announcement that has been in the air for some time has arrived in a rather unusual way, via a post on social media that echoes his speech to the team before morning training: Luciano Spalletti and Juventus have made official the renewal of their agreement until 2028.

“When I arrived seven months ago they offered me this contract which was a bit of a way like saying let’s hang out a bit, let’s get to know each other and then at the end of the year we will be free to decide what we want based on what we have done.”

“I accepted without any hesitation because I wanted to realize what Juventus was from the inside, I had this desire here and to realize what you were because I had been impressed to see you from the outside and I liked the fact that I went into your locker room and trained you. It was easy to imagine the greatness of Juventus, it was easy to imagine what the futuristic idea of Juventus is, more difficult was to find a nice group of united guys like you, a group that was strong and wanted to be together almost as if you were all inside the same jersey.”

“And every time I see you guys I think of Juve, every time I see you I see Juve, so I felt it was more important first of all to tell you this fact, that then we decided to extend this contract for two more years. I want you to know it first before it comes out, I am telling you today, and of course we have challenges ahead of us but I am convinced that together with you they will become good challenges because I will face them with your willingness and your strength as you have always done.”

“It is clear that there is the responsibility of what is the greatness of the club because we have to make those millions of fans proud who belong to one of the most beautiful clubs, to one of the greatest clubs worldwide. Thank you for your willingness and … beyond the end.”
