In Parma as in Udine: Nesta Elphege scored the goal of victory and salvation for the Crusaders in the match against Pisa at the Tardini, valid for the 34th day of the championship. In the second half, Cuesta’s lineup rose in tone, having two chances with Nicolussi Caviglia. Suzuki, however, is still decisive on Meister at 76′, and shortly afterwards he is lucky on Moreo’s conclusion, just over the crossbar.

At 82′ comes the Ducal advantage thanks to the newly entered Elphege: at the end of a scrum in the area a rebound rewards the French striker who in a turn over Semper. The goal cut the legs off Pisa, which risked conceding the double shortly afterwards from Valeri. That’s how it ends: Parma saved, Pisa now in Serie B.

Elphege had already signed the winning goal in the away match in Udine the previous day, when Parma won 1-0 at the Bluenergy Stadium with a beautifully crafted goal: having received the ball from Strefezza, the striker had protected the ball with his body and then presented himself in front of Okoye and beat him with a precise left-footed touch. His goals in two consecutive games ended the Crusaders’ salvation ride.
