The soccer world mourns the passing of Victor Udoh, he was 21 years old

The soccer world is in mourning over the death of Victor Udoh. The striker, just 21 years old, passed away on Tuesday, and the exact cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
Udoh grew up footballing in HB Abuja, then in 2023 he moved to Belgium to play in Antwerp’s youth team, and the following year he was promoted to the first team. With Belgian training he collected 55 appearances, 12 goals and 2 assists and later wore the jersey of Dynamo Ceske Budejovice in the Czech Republic.
Antwerp issued an official note to remember Udoh: “The club has learned with great dismay of the death of our former player Victor Udoh. Victor arrived at Bosuil in the 2023/2024 season, where he scored twelve goals in 21 games in his first season with the young Reds.”
“That season he also made his official first-team debut in the home game against Charleroi. In total, Victor collected 28 official appearances with Bosuil and provided two assists before moving to Southampton.”
“Our thoughts are with Victor’s family, friends and loved ones. We wish them much strength, support and affection at this particularly difficult time. Rest in peace, Victor,” reads the Belgian club’s statement.
