Juve market, Comolli: "We will have to sell one more player than expected" all roads lead to him

The verdict of the field has been implacable and the failure to qualify for the Champions League is forcing Juventus to radically review its financial plans. CEO Damien Comolli’s words were a thunderbolt, but extremely realistic: in order to finance incoming shots, the Old Lady will be forced to sell one more player than initially budgeted. In all likelihood, the sacrificed player will be a top player on the roster, a star player capable of generating an immediate and substantial capital gain to breathe and jumpstart the Bianconeri market.

All the clues to this painful operation lead to Gleison Bremer. The Brazilian defender, born in 1997 and linked to Juve until 2029, recently turned 29: he is at the crucial moment of his career, the last big window of time to monetize his talent and enrich the trophy cabinet. The central player himself has not hidden his ambitions, openly declaring that he has little time and wants to win right away. His ideal plan envisions a World Cup as a protagonist with Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil, and then to permanently confront the stage of Europe’s top competition.

In this scenario, the player’s desires converge perfectly with Juventus’ budgetary needs. Bremer’s valuation is currently around 50 million euros, a figure that a good rainbow review could even raise. Luciano Spalletti considers him a pillar of the rearguard, but he would not be opposed to his departure: if the former Turin man’s departure would guarantee a significant treasure, the coach would give the green light.

The suitors for the Brazilian are not lacking, especially in the Premier League, where Liverpool and Manchester United have been monitoring the situation for some time. Watch out, however, for maneuvers in the Bundesliga: Bayern Munich is making a concrete move and could attempt an assault by including Kim Min-jae’s player card in the negotiations. The South Korean, a major player in Napoli’s Scudetto in 2023, is a profile that Spalletti greatly appreciates and would immediately solve the void in defense. In the background remains the interest of Inter Milan, a track however impractical for reasons of historical rivalry and environmental issues.
