Brescia fierce in Milan, Cotelli: "We will raise the level"

The playoff series between Milan and Brescia reaches its third act, the first at the Forum. After Olimpia’s victory in game 1 and Germani’s response in game 2, the Leonessa lands in the Lombard capital with the hope of surprising. “In game 3, we expect a strong reaction from Milan and we are aware that what we have done so far will not be enough,” warned coach Matteo Cotelli.
“For this we will have to raise the level of our game even further. It will be crucial to put in energy, intensity and toughness for all forty minutes, but once again the difference will be related to our mental solidity: we will have to manage emotions, play with lucidity and stay united even in the most difficult moments. Only by being a team from the first to the last minute will we be able to compete at the level that this game requires.”
On the opposite side, coach Peppe Poeta will have to deal with the dross of game 2, a game that Olimpia experienced to forget especially on three-point shooting, with just five baskets out of twenty-four attempts. In the aftermath of the game the red and white coach had not minced words: “We played an unintelligent game, from the beginning we got nervous with the referees.” Then the tactical key for the continuation of the series: “If we manage to impose physicality, without getting nervous, we bring it to our side. If, on the other hand, we allow their basketball intelligence to take it to the tracks we don’t want, it becomes another series.”
