On Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Denmark will take on Ukraine at the Odense Isstadion. Both sides failed to qualify for the World Cup, which will take place from June 11 between the United States, Mexico and Canada, and are organizing a series of friendly matches.

The hosts have resoundingly failed to qualify: a draw against Belarus in the group and then a playoff defeat against Scott McTominay’s Scotland were fatal. A few days ago, the Riemer-coached team drew 0-0 against the Democratic Republic of Congo.

For the challenge against Ukraine, the Danes will go with a 4-3-3. The offensive trident will consist of Daghim, Hojlund and Dorgu with Eriksen, Hojbjerg and Jensen in the middle of the field. Christensen and Provstgaard will form the central defensive pair with Kristensen and Maehle wide.

Ukraine also missed in the playoffs the chance to participate in the World Cup: the decisive defeat against Sweden 3-1. After the great disappointment, the federation decided to entrust the bench to Andrea Maldera, son of Gino and grandson of Aldo and Attilio. In the debut under the new coach Mykolenko and his teammates won 2-0 against Poland.

To face Denmark Maldera decided to rely on Yaremchuk as the offensive terminal supported by Yarmolenko, Tsygankov and Sudakov. Ocheretko and Nazaryna on the median line to protect the defense composed of Romanchuk, Sarapiy, Matviienko and Mykolenko. Between the posts Trubin.
