NBA: The Miami Heat Announce LeBron James, but There’s a Problem

The news immediately spread around the world: LeBron James is joining the Miami Heat, the franchise with which he won two NBA championships. The Heat posted on their YouTube channel a link to a scheduled live stream titled “LeBron James Introduction Press Conference,” complete with the event date (July 27).

Unfortunately, the link was the result of a mistake. A Miami Heat spokesperson told ESPN’s Shams Charania that the team’s social media department was preparing for the possible signing of King James and mistakenly posted the link on the team’s YouTube page. The post was subsequently deleted.

The 41-year-old LeBron James is currently a free agent and is evaluating all the options on the table. According to ESPN sources, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Miami Heat are the main teams LBJ is reportedly considering, although other clubs, including the Golden State Warriors, are also in the running.

At the moment, the four-time NBA champion has not yet announced where he will play his 24th NBA season. The Miami Heat have taken the lead, hoping that this rumor will soon become a reality.
