Turin Transfer Market: Goalkeeper Signed, Comer Deal Also Done. Medicals Scheduled

The Granata transfer market is heating up following the latest signings. Torino has finalized its first defensive reinforcement: Eray Comert, a Swiss defender born in 1998 who was part of the Swiss national team’s most recent World Cup campaign.
Comert will sign a two-year contract with Torino through June 30, 2028; last season, he played for Valencia. He is just the first of two center backs that Torino will sign this summer. The situation in goal has also been resolved: the deal is done for the arrival of Brazilian goalkeeper Lucas Perri. The goalkeeper, born in 1997, is expected in Turin this weekend for his physical and to sign his contract: he arrives from Leeds, which gave the green light for his transfer to Torino following Trafford’s arrival from Manchester City.
Sporting director Petrachi had been in talks with Perri’s agent for some time and has finally managed to seal the deal. Torino worked out a loan deal with an option to buy, a solution to which the English club agreed. Perri joins the duo of Paleari and Mascardi, the young goalkeeper born in 2006 who was acquired from Spezia in recent weeks.
Petrachi isn’t just focused on the goalkeeper position: Torino is also looking for a right-back to round out the roster available to coach Ignazio Abate. The hottest name in recent hours is Krépin Diatta, a Senegalese fullback with great speed who has been a free agent since leaving Monaco last June. Having come up through the ranks at Oslo FA Dakar, Diatta played in Norway for Sarpsborg 08 before moving to Club Brugge and then to Monaco, which signed him in 2021 for nearly 17 million euros. Despite some offers from MLS and the Saudi Pro League, his desire is to continue playing in Europe.
The possibility of signing Kayne Ramsay, a winger owned by Charlton Athletic, also remains on the table. The fullback, born in 2000, came up through Chelsea’s youth system and is valued at around one million euros; he has demonstrated great reliability and consistency in recent seasons in the Championship. He can play both as a fullback and as a winger covering the entire flank in a five-man midfield, a trait that makes him particularly versatile for Abate’s tactical schemes.
