2026–2027 Preseason Friendlies: Bologna vs. Iraklis, Probable Lineups

After a 0-4 loss in their season opener against Arminia Bielefeld, Bologna drew 1-1 with Heidenheim and is looking to secure its first win of the summer in its third preseason friendly: Domenico Tedesco’s Rossoblù will face Iraklis of Thessaloniki, coached by Walter Mazzarri. The match kicks off at 4 p.m. in Valles, on the final day of Bologna’s training camp in Val Pusteria.

Tedesco, the Rossoblù’s new head coach, will most likely field a 4-2-3-1 formation with De Silvestri and Miranda as fullbacks, Badori and Pobega as central midfielders, and Castro as the main attacking threat, supported by attacking midfielders Dominguez, Odgaard, and Rowe. The goal goes beyond the result: Bologna will seek to further refine the chemistry among its players, who are aware of the need to adapt to the new coach’s instructions.

On the other side, Iraklis arrives with the enthusiasm of a newly promoted team and is counting heavily on the experience of its Livorno-born coach, chosen to lead the club in its return to the Super League. The match against Bologna could provide further insight into how and where to make adjustments before the start of the Greek league season.
