A festive evening, a sparkling atmosphere, distinguished guests. At the wedding of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Alessia Elefante in the Itria Valley, however, it wasn’t one of the ceremony’s main protagonists who stole the show: Erling Haaland took it upon himself to make the atmosphere even more festive, emerging as the undisputed star of the reception.

The Manchester City forward got all the guests fired up with the now-famous “Viking Row,” the ritual that accompanies the Norwegian national team and has become a trademark of its fans, with the 2026 World Cup serving as an additional catalyst. With a drum in his hands, Haaland set the rhythm for the choreography, engaging the guests and turning the moment into a full-fledged show.

In videos posted on Instagram by some of the guests, Donnarumma can also be seen sitting on the floor, mimicking the movements of rowers and following the beat set by the Norwegian striker. A spontaneous and entertaining little skit that immediately went viral on social media.

Donnarumma and Haaland have been teammates at Manchester City since last season: the goalkeeper and the striker won the League Cup and the FA Cup in 2025–2026, although Donnarumma did not play in either final, having been replaced by Trafford in both the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup, while Haaland played in both finals, though he did not score.
